We were introduced to Mike and Marla, through the fabulous event coordinators, Ami and Jessica, with Revitalize Weddings + Events. We knew, just from working with Ami and Jessica in the past that Mike and Marla were going to be a blast to work with. Wow, were we blown away with them. We had to reschedule them from a yucky raining day back in December to a cold “this can’t be Florida” day here in January. Although, it was the warmest day of the week.

During the session, we would give them some direction and off they would run, being super cute with each other. They were laughing in about 95% of the session. It was great! I really really love laughing pictures.

I am late to wish all my blog readers a Happy New Year! I don’t think that I have really made any resolutions per se, I just know that I want this year to be THE YEAR! I want a lot of things, but the reality is the only thing I REALLY want is get Beau working with me 100%. That means, no more “other job” for him. I would get to see his face 24/7. Which makes me ecstatic! We are really working hard on this photography business, but more importantly we are working toward our goals and making wonderful friends along the way. We are sooooo fortunate to have the greatest clients friends! Thank you to all of our supporters out there! If it wasn’t for you I think that I would be in a fetal position in the corner right now mumbling to myself about how Rice A Roni is the San Franciso treat.

On other news, we somehow became a doggie day care this past week. We had our furry niece and nephew and a friends daughter over:

Jennifer was all smiles during her shoot. Every time I had her look down at her belly for a pose, she would smile even wider.  She was extremely easy to shoot. Seriously, she should have done some pregnancy modeling!

I have really loved all of my pregnancy sessions. It is just something about it. I know they have the “glow” and all, but its even more than that. I wish I could explain it. And I love finding different angles to shoot them and using different props and locations.

Her little girl is on her way this month She is going to be precious!

Beau did most of all of the editing on this session! He is the best!

These two have been together for 8 years. BUTTTT we sure wouldn’t have guessed that. They act like they just started dating, they are still so lovey dovey. It was so cute to see and it makes for some great photography : ). We can’t wait for their wedding. AND their wedding colors are gray and sage green…how awesome is that!!

Beau and I met Courtney and Kevin at UCF, where they will both be graduating from very soon! We tracked all over the campus while talking about their upcoming wedding and the people we know in common. It was like we were just hanging out with old friends taking pictures. When it came time to wrap up the session, we continued to talk. Then it came out that Kevin loves the outdoors and Beau’s eyes lit up like a child that just saw the REAL Santa. So needless to say we are definitely going to see more of these guys real soon! And we can’t wait : )

We were thissss close to getting a picture of them on the statue. But really…our luck we would have been arrested by the UCF police or something.

We met up with Clint and Meagan at The Florida Carriage Museum and Resort. This place is gorgeous! Their reception will be held here next year in November. It was perfect timing to go this year the same time for their engagement session, so we could “scout it out” at the same time. I just fell in love with the place and can’t WAIT to shoot their wedding portraits here!

They had this barn full of hay, which let in the perfect amount of light. Seriously, I think we could have shot the entire session in here!

They were constantly laughing with each other. I love this shot!

And here is their baby boy, Blake, the absolute love of their lives. How could you not be head over heels in love with this face? And it just happens to be his birthday today! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BLAKE!

Jenny contacted me after I shoot a session with her sister, Heather, and her family. These five were so amazing to work with. I think we could have had their session done in 15 minutes, just because they were that easy. But that didn’t happen because I was enjoying their company and their enthusiasm about being photographed together.

Thanks Jenny and Paul for inviting me to take pictures of your wonderful family. I had such a great time!

This was our last wedding of the year. What a way to wrap it up!

Alyssa was beaming from the moment that I saw her alllll the way through the end of the night. It was infectious. The entire room was either beaming with smiles or tearing up with happiness while she got ready. I am pretty sure I have a permanent laugh line left behind because of this day : )

Their friends and family made us feel so included! What a wonderful pleasure it was to get to know everyone. And Joe, if you read this, seriously…Seattle here we come : )…soon!

Rob and Alyssa, thank you for trusting us to capture your most important day. You made it extremely easy though. Who ordered the awesome weather? I need their number!

Oh yes, and those of you who don’t know Alyssa, she LOVES the color pink.

Here are some of our favorites of Bryan and Emily’s wedding! The beautiful ceremony took place at Saint Rita’s Catholic Church. Then the party got going at The Player’s Club for the reception.

Bryan and Emily, congratulations again! It was great getting to know you two this year, tromping around in West Palm Beach and getting us addicted Jon Smith’s yummy subs.  We hope that you have an AMAZING time on your cruise around Australia! How many of you are super jealous? We are!

Oh facebook how I love thee. If it was not for you I would not be able to reconnect with so many people! I knew Kelly back in the day…high school that is. My favorite picture of that era of my life includes her. Me, Kelly and our friends, Dawn and Marcie, standing by our florescent orange lockers. Oh the memories…After high school we lost touch, but through facebook I found her again. And to come find out, she lives about five minutes from me. Go figure.

Now she is sporting the cutest little haircut, little girl and little baby belly! We had to reschedule the shoot and unfortunately her husband wasn’t able to make the second date. But we will hopefully be able to capture the entire family once the new little girl arrives.
