We were introduced to Mike and Marla, through the fabulous event coordinators, Ami and Jessica, with Revitalize Weddings + Events. We knew, just from working with Ami and Jessica in the past that Mike and Marla were going to be a blast to work with. Wow, were we blown away with them. We had to reschedule them from a yucky raining day back in December to a cold “this can’t be Florida” day here in January. Although, it was the warmest day of the week.

During the session, we would give them some direction and off they would run, being super cute with each other. They were laughing in about 95% of the session. It was great! I really really love laughing pictures.

The wonderful duo of Revitalize Weddings + Events. Ami and Jessica were so wonderful to come out and play during the photoshoot, they always bring a dynamic energy with them.

The following was captured by Ami with her phone. This is what Beau and I have termed the “B-squared Stack”. Whenever we need some height, up I go. He is such a trooper

Now Mike and Marla have their own…lets name it the M&M Mound.

These two have been together for 8 years. BUTTTT we sure wouldn’t have guessed that. They act like they just started dating, they are still so lovey dovey. It was so cute to see and it makes for some great photography : ). We can’t wait for their wedding. AND their wedding colors are gray and sage green…how awesome is that!!

Beau and I met Courtney and Kevin at UCF, where they will both be graduating from very soon! We tracked all over the campus while talking about their upcoming wedding and the people we know in common. It was like we were just hanging out with old friends taking pictures. When it came time to wrap up the session, we continued to talk. Then it came out that Kevin loves the outdoors and Beau’s eyes lit up like a child that just saw the REAL Santa. So needless to say we are definitely going to see more of these guys real soon! And we can’t wait : )

We were thissss close to getting a picture of them on the statue. But really…our luck we would have been arrested by the UCF police or something.

We met up with Clint and Meagan at The Florida Carriage Museum and Resort. This place is gorgeous! Their reception will be held here next year in November. It was perfect timing to go this year the same time for their engagement session, so we could “scout it out” at the same time. I just fell in love with the place and can’t WAIT to shoot their wedding portraits here!

They had this barn full of hay, which let in the perfect amount of light. Seriously, I think we could have shot the entire session in here!

They were constantly laughing with each other. I love this shot!

And here is their baby boy, Blake, the absolute love of their lives. How could you not be head over heels in love with this face? And it just happens to be his birthday today! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BLAKE!

I wanted to get this post up before Kevin left Florida to go back to California to his base tomorrow. He came home just long enough to see his beautiful bride to be and to indulge us in taking their pictures for this awesome engagement session. Distance definitely makes the heart grow fonder and you can tell it with these two!

So the apple doesn’t fall far from this family tree, Bridgette is cousin’s with Dan (from the fabulous duo of Dan and Jen), man this family is rockin’ with energy and funness. Yah, I am pretty sure I just made that word up.We can’t wait to see what hotness they bring to their wedding next year. Oooo we can’t wait.

When Bridgette mentioned she wanted to create the V-J Day in Times Square, aka The War’s End Kiss, I about flipped, I was soooo excited. I have had that photo in my “ideas” folder since day one. And why I didn’t think of it first, with Kevin being a sailor and all, is beyond me.

I would say that this is my favorite, but I can’t because all of them are!!

It is days like these that I love living in Florida.

What a perfect day it was to shoot in St. Augustine. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and not to mention we had a pretty fantastic couple to photograph. In our “time alone’ we scouted out some areas for Mark and Janel and we ran into  this stunning little courtyard. And the light was FAB-U-LOUS. We probably could have done the whole session right there.

Then off to Flagler College, Beau grabbed this beautiful shoe shot. Love those lines! AND SHOES : )

YAY for balloons! I love balloons. And I am so happy that I have been able to finally incorporate them into a shoot! I was introduced to Carly at JB’s bridal shower. Before meeting her, JB, told me that she thought we would get along great and we were a lot alike. Well, she was right. I am pretty sure we talked the entire time at the shower. And then BAM we were friends, it was very easy. This was all B.T. (before Ty). I remember the first time hearing her talk about him. I mean, let’s talk about a glow. She was like a super nova. Then we got to meet the man responsible for her heart felt smile. He is everything she spoke about. Handsome, caring, real, compassionate, and the thesaurus of wonderful adjectives continued. These two are a perfect match and we can’t wait to shoot the wedding in January…when it’s NOT HOT AND HUMID!!!
