Jennifer was all smiles during her shoot. Every time I had her look down at her belly for a pose, she would smile even wider.  She was extremely easy to shoot. Seriously, she should have done some pregnancy modeling!

I have really loved all of my pregnancy sessions. It is just something about it. I know they have the “glow” and all, but its even more than that. I wish I could explain it. And I love finding different angles to shoot them and using different props and locations.

Her little girl is on her way this month She is going to be precious!

Beau did most of all of the editing on this session! He is the best!

Oh facebook how I love thee. If it was not for you I would not be able to reconnect with so many people! I knew Kelly back in the day…high school that is. My favorite picture of that era of my life includes her. Me, Kelly and our friends, Dawn and Marcie, standing by our florescent orange lockers. Oh the memories…After high school we lost touch, but through facebook I found her again. And to come find out, she lives about five minutes from me. Go figure.

Now she is sporting the cutest little haircut, little girl and little baby belly! We had to reschedule the shoot and unfortunately her husband wasn’t able to make the second date. But we will hopefully be able to capture the entire family once the new little girl arrives.

If it wasn’t 2:30 am right now, I would go running through my neighborhood and announce that I am posting this blog. You know when you see a preview to a movie and you build it up so much in your head that it just doesn’t meet your expectations? Well, I had been dreaming of this shoot ever since I saw this inspirational field. I knew exactly how I wanted it to look, but I was hoping that I wasn’t going to crush my high expectations. We had to push it off the first day, because it decided to rain just enough to make the air a thick suffocating blanket (I stole this analogy from C) and the cow patties moist…no thank you. But when we arrived the next scheduled date, everything was perfect. The light, the field, the GORGEOUS couple, the weather, and happily sans the mushy prairie pastries.

Much to my distress and thanks to Beau and Niki’s help, I felt that the film blew the previews out of the water!

And since posts are better with pictures…here is one from our trip to the beach. Our sea turtle. We finished him just in time…before he decided to go back  into the ocean. Stupid waves.

I wanted to post the rest of Hope’s Baby Belly Session before I left internet world for the long weekend!

Niki and I shot together on this session. She did an amazing job, as usual. Hope was so gorgeous and her husband, Nick, oozes with love for his beautiful wife and their future baby. Hope and Nick have decided not to find out the baby’s sex until his/her birthday. Talk about apprehension! I think there is something special in waiting. An extra special surprise to add to the day.

This past Sunday I went with Niki to help her out on a pregnancy shoot. We went over to Crane’s Roost Park. We got there early to scout out the spots. The dark omnious clouds looked as if they were going to rain on our parade, but we got lucky, as soon as Hope (looking super cute in all white, my fav) and her husband arrived the sun peeked its head out.

Here is just a tiny sliver of goodness that we captured during the day:

Marissa found us through our friend Ashleigh, who has become one of our personal walking business cards. Thank you Ash!!

What an amazing couple. Immediately, we knew that we were going to have a blast shooting Marissa and her husband Don.  We were going to shoot in the evening, but due to bad weather we moved it to the following morning. This worked out perfectly, we have shot several times on Park Avenue in Winter Park, but since it was the morning it offered up some different locations that we hadn’t been able to use in the past because of the lighting.

I think that these types of shoots are quickly becoming some of my favorites to photograph, moms-to-be have a wonderful glow about them. Cliche I know, but I really think it is true.

So I guessed I teased you long enough. And I figured I should get these out before baby Hero comes along. I love Laura’s style. As soon as she started pulling out clothes that she brought with her for the shoot, I was in love. So many ideas, not enough time.

I like to call this one “The Creation of Hero”.

She pulls off the pregnant look very well.
