Every now and again, we get a chance to grab a couple of hours of alone time before our shoots that occur in different cities that we haven’t had the opportunity to visit previously. Beau had never been to St. Augustine and it had been a LONG time since I had visited. So we headed up 4 hours early before Mark and Janel’s session and had a nice time by ourselves. With Beau working a full time gig on top of the photography, we don’t get a lot of time together when we aren’t busy working. So we cherish the time that we do get.

And thank you Mr Self Timer for our selves-portrait.

What a perfect day it was to shoot in St. Augustine. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and not to mention we had a pretty fantastic couple to photograph. In our “time alone’ we scouted out some areas for Mark and Janel and we ran into  this stunning little courtyard. And the light was FAB-U-LOUS. We probably could have done the whole session right there.

Then off to Flagler College, Beau grabbed this beautiful shoe shot. Love those lines! AND SHOES : )

We are so excited to shoot their wedding in St. Augustine next year!

We can’t wait to shoot this wedding in November!

Every welt that the four of us received from the invisible vampires known as sand fleas at New Symnra Beach, was well worth it! And thank you Sun for giving us a spectacular farewell!

Their puppies are going to be in the wedding, YAY for puppies at weddings! They are going to be wearing pink bows…oh did I mention that they are boys : )

FAVORITE FAVORITE FAVORITE TIMES INFINITY!!!

If it wasn’t 2:30 am right now, I would go running through my neighborhood and announce that I am posting this blog. You know when you see a preview to a movie and you build it up so much in your head that it just doesn’t meet your expectations? Well, I had been dreaming of this shoot ever since I saw this inspirational field. I knew exactly how I wanted it to look, but I was hoping that I wasn’t going to crush my high expectations. We had to push it off the first day, because it decided to rain just enough to make the air a thick suffocating blanket (I stole this analogy from C) and the cow patties moist…no thank you. But when we arrived the next scheduled date, everything was perfect. The light, the field, the GORGEOUS couple, the weather, and happily sans the mushy prairie pastries.

Much to my distress and thanks to Beau and Niki’s help, I felt that the film blew the previews out of the water!

YAY for balloons! I love balloons. And I am so happy that I have been able to finally incorporate them into a shoot! I was introduced to Carly at JB‘s bridal shower. Before meeting her, JB, told me that she thought we would get along great and we were a lot alike. Well, she was right. I am pretty sure we talked the entire time at the shower. And then BAM we were friends, it was very easy. This was all B.T. (before Ty). I remember the first time hearing her talk about him. I mean, let’s talk about a glow. She was like a super nova. Then we got to meet the man responsible for her heart felt smile. He is everything she spoke about. Handsome, caring, real, compassionate, and the thesaurus of wonderful adjectives continued. These two are a perfect match and we can’t wait to shoot the wedding in January…when it’s NOT HOT AND HUMID!!!
