Caroline and I traveled to Texas, where Caroline hails from, for her bridal shower. While there we went to Hermann Park to shoot her bridal pictures. We found some amazing places in the park to photograph. I visioned this more like a fashion shoot instead of a traditional bridal shoot. I believe with Caroline as the model, we accomplished this goal!
Yah…BAM she did it!
I seriously couldn’t make it through editing this wedding without tearing up. 364 days prior to Dan and Jen getting married at Leu Gardens, Beau and I sealed the deal there. So I think that I was a little more emotional than normal, typically you will find me crying behind the lens. We have become fast friends with this wonderful couple. I am so happy that our wedding photographers, Dayna and Clete recommended us to them.
We are happy that we are now able to call them our friends. Dan and Jen, we had the best time at your wedding. You two are so wonderful together and we were super happy to be the chosen ones to shoot your union!

What an amazing couple. Immediately, we knew that we were going to have a blast shooting Marissa and her husband Don. We were going to shoot in the evening, but due to bad weather we moved it to the following morning. This worked out perfectly, we have shot several times on Park Avenue in Winter Park, but since it was the morning it offered up some different locations that we hadn’t been able to use in the past because of the lighting.
I think that these types of shoots are quickly becoming some of my favorites to photograph, moms-to-be have a wonderful glow about them. Cliche I know, but I really think it is true.

Wowzers..finally I am done with this post. I had so many pictures to choose from, so hopefully you will enjoy these select. Jessica and Darren, we had such an amazing time at your wedding. It was more like we were just attending it and just happened to have an arsenal of camera equipment with us. Thank you for making us feel so welcome, that goes for your family as well. I just wanted to put up a cute pic from Dan and Jen’s wedding this past weekend.
In the midst of all our craziness, our marriage turned 1 year old on Sunday.
Beau surprised me with a wonderful weekend getaway (that I wished could have lasted forever) and even brought our wedding cake along. He thinks of everything. During the wedding day, the only piece of cake that we had was the one that we fed each other. So I was kinda looking forward to sitting down and actually being able to “taste” our yummy cake. We had three different layers and we saved our favorite for the top, red velvet with cream cheese filling. Well folks…let me tell you how NOT to store your cake if you would like to follow this crazy tradition of eating your cake a year later and actually enjoying it.
In a Ziploc bag, shoved into the back of your freezer, is NOT the way of sealing a piece of moist deliciousness. Not horrible, but not that fabulous. I tried to find a site that seemed to have the answer on how to properly freeze it, but I really didn’t find anything that I thought sounded more secure than our Ziploc route. So I went with word of mouth instead. Niki, our ever fabulous friend and assistant, froze her cake and then using a Food Saver vacuumed sealed it. She said that it was still wonderful a year later. I hope that helps, I really think someone should just create a tradition to eat it the night of the wedding.
I cannot believe how fast the year went by. My heart is so full with love I think it may burst any day now. I got to marry my soul mate and my best friend. And not to mention I think he is the most gorgeous person I have ever laid my eyes on.
I am a very lucky girl.

My little brother just got married to the most wonderful girl in the world. I remember the first time he brought her to our house. She was so quiet. I didn’t know what to talk about. Fast forward to now…HA, we are like two little girls hyped up on a sugar rush of Swedish fish and milkshakes. We don’t stop talking, just ask the guys.
I am so happy for the both of them. I still feel like I am 12 fighting with my brother about what to watch on tv. So to see him getting married is surreal, but makes me so happy for him. He is such a great, funny, genuine guy and I am so happy he has met his match with Caroline.
Of course we shot their wedding, but I was the Matron of Honor so that left Beau shooting most of the ceremony alone. He did an amazing job and did pretty much everything short of diving into the ocean to take pictures of the ceremony.
We love you both very much and we are so thrilled for your happiness!!
