the big easy
Friday, October 31st, 2008So since we were so close to New Orleans photographing Keisha and Johnny’s wedding, we decided to pop on over to The Big Easy, Crescent City, Saints City, The City that Care Forgot. After a night on the town with Tonya and Chris (our friends from Orlando-they were also at the wedding) We all went down to Cafe’ Du Monde the following morning. Tonya told us that we had to go there ever since we planned this trip..so we were looking forward to it meeting our expectations. I mean, really, yummy fried dough drowned in powdered sugar, who would love that. And boy was it good!!. Messy, but delicious.
Then we went on to sight seeing.
The church let out as we approched, so we went in to take in the breathtaking view.
I just loved this sign.
As we were walking we spotted this. I thought that they were using this poor little stuffed cow for a doorstop and said “awww it looks like they killed him” and the guy setting in the doorway (which I had not noticed) said “he’ll be alright”. And then it hit me, and had to laugh out loud, duh it’s Halloween time, they did it on purpose. Murder of the stuffed cow on the streets of New Orleans. What is this world coming to?
