Hi Again Ladies. The last Soft Boudoir Session went so well that I am doing another one! If you would like to book, shoot me an email for available times.
I have always appreciated a good typeface. Before the leap of faith that has become Brandy Burridge Photography, I was in the graphic design field. And most of my friends who know me, know what I feel to be the most overused, heinous of all typefaces…dun dun dunnnnn…papyrus. I am sure that when the creator, Mr. Costello, was painstakingly hand drawing this for six months, he was quite unaware how people were going to kill his work of art. Death by overusation. And I am pretty sure I just made that word up. But lets go with it.
All this was brought up while I was perusing my google reader and stumbled across the Pentagram Test on Shannon’s “Happiness is…” site. So I hopped over and took the short test, giving by a very impatient typeface psychologist.
In conclusion my typeface is:
And just out of curiosity I had Beau take it too:
Not very found of mine. I tend to like lowercase, rounded, san serif fonts. So I guess I am going to have to steal Beau’s typeface. You would have thought he created our logo.
Well that was fun. What typeface are you??
I LOVE surprises. But being the bloodhound that I am, I typically find out what they are beforehand. I am not the girl that will shake her presents that are under the Christmas tree, because I WANT to be surprised.
I was pretty convinced Friday night, date night, we were going to see Phantom of the Opera. A couple of my friends were going to see it and I just had a feeling that we, too, were going to the theater. I was told to be ready at 3:30 and Beau would come home from work and get me. So I got all prettied up and Beau arrived home. And of course….of course it was raining. It never fails, you get all dolled up and then it rains on your hair parade. But nothing was going to ruin my mood. I was going to go see one of my favorite shows, with my favorite guy! Beau already had a feeling I knew what was up. And I told him that I knew we were going to see Phantom. And he played along. We headed out toward Tampa, but I thought nothing of it. I just thought that was where the show was. Fun! I have never been to any of the theaters in Tampa.
We arrived and then proceeded to swim to the tasty sushi restaurant Beau had picked out. After we fattened ourselves up on some fresh fish, we headed on over to the theater. We get to the doors and Beau says, “do you know what we are here to see?’. And I reply, “duh, Phantom.” Then he smiled and said, ” No. Wicked”.
Lets just say people probably thought that he had a dancing monkey with him. I jumped up and down and squealed like, well a monkey. I was so excited. I have wanted to see Wicked forever! It did not disappoint. I love how it makes you completely rethink how everything went down in the old land of Oz. What a fantastic date night. What a fantastic show. What a fantastic husband!!
So date night usually ends up on Friday nights for us. BUT special thing about this date night, is that it has been on the calendar for 3 months! which makes me super duper excited. I LOVE, times infinity, surprises! I especially love when Beau plans date nights…in advance. Gives me something to look forward to. So, worldwideweb, I can’t wait till tomorrow! Just thought I would share my excitement with you !!!
I first met Carly at JoBeth’s (my talented hairstylist friend) bridal shower luncheon. I remember JoBeth telling me that we would get along perfectly. Yep, she was right. I sat next to her and we talked like two little school girls the whole time. She is such a true person and super funny.
Enter Ty.
When she started to tell me about him, I knew he was it. It was like hearing myself talk about Beau. This is why I do this for a living. I want to be that person that captures that feeling and puts it down on paper (or disc-whichever, you get the point).
I had so many pictures to choose from to put up here it was hard to narrow it down to just these. Carly was gorgeous, Ty was very handsome. Their families are some of the sweetest people I have ever met and truly made this wedding. We can’t wait to see how they grow as a couple. Both Beau and I are blessed to have such real people as friends.
I hope that they are getting nice and tanned on their two week cruise. Maybe they will spend $3.00/min to check the internet on the ship to check out the pictures:
Love it, this is soooo Carly:
She had to hold onto the girls, while momsie was lacing up her dress:
I mean, seriously!!! Stunning!
I pretty much did a backhand spring when I saw the bridesmaids’ shoes:
Time for her dad to see her, I was crying, so I can’t believe I got these, it was truly so touching:
Carly’s only wish, well besides Ty showing up, was for the audience to rise once she got to their aisle. We can’t believe everyone listened, it was pretty neat to watch:
Rev Glynn: Ty do you take Carly to be your wife.
Ty: Heck ya I do!
Love times 1 million this picture:
Best group portrait ever!
Yummy details. Thanks to the Yayas for making the reception so gorgeous!
Not that this is our life to a T, but it made me laugh. Beau came home the other day and told me to watch it. Hilarious! For all of you who have other halves that… well…can play video games, FOREVER! I am sure you will understand.
Hi Ladies. Just in time for an awesome Valentine’s Day present, I am putting on another Soft Boudoir Session. If you would like to book, shoot me an email for available times.
